Are you a natural born leader that is able to build a data strategy and oversee the data architecture in a new company from the start? Do you like solving puzzles and coming up with innovative solutions to make your life easier? Can you be equally hands-on and do you have an ample knowledge of the data engineering side?
My client, a market leader in telecommunications is looking for a Principal Data Engineer and Scientist to join their team in the Netherlands and help them shape the future of their data departments.
You will be having a holistic view of the way things are currently done and come with fresh ideas, challenge the status quo, come with new ways to use the technology at hand, focusing on optimization and lead the team by example. You will work in an agile way, you need to be able to roll up your sleeves to show people how it's done, as well as motivate others to follow in your footsteps.
Main expectations for the role are:
- 8+ years of experience in Data Science, Engineering, BI and Analytics
- 2+ years proven leadership experience
- Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Expert in Big Data platforms, SQL and Databricks
- Proficiency in Python, Spark, R
- Must have knowledge of data architecture, design, modelling and integration strategies
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

- Annual salary of up to 100k including holiday allowance
