Translate system and subsystem requirements into clear test objectives, margins, procedures, and acceptance criteria
-
Own environmental test programs from concept through execution, analysis, and final reporting
-
Coordinate and lead test readiness reviews (TRRs) and support test execution activities
-
Provide technical leadership and guidance to cross-functional engineering teams, including systems, structures, avionics, and operations
-
Manage and maintain environmental test infrastructure, including equipment specification, procurement, and vendor coordination
-
Analyze test data, document results, and present findings and recommendations to engineering leadership
-
Ensure testing aligns with applicable industry standards (e.g., MIL-STD-810 or equivalent) and internal quality expectations
-
Identify technical risks, capability gaps, and improvement opportunities within test programs and infrastructure
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Test Engineering, or a related technical discipline
-
5+ years of experience in environmental testing, including at least 3 years leading environmental test campaign development and execution for aerospace or other complex engineered systems
-
Demonstrated experience designing and executing environmental test programs
-
Strong understanding of environmental testing standards, methodologies, and best practices
-
Proven ability to lead technically complex initiatives and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams

Experience managing test equipment, facilities, or environmental testing infrastructure
-
Strong analytical, documentation, and technical communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
-
Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
-
Experience with high-altitude or extreme-environment testing
-
Background supporting unmanned systems, aerospace platforms, or other advanced engineering programs
-
Familiarity with FAA or other regulatory certification testing processes
-
Experience working in startup, R&D, or rapid development engineering environments
-
Experience with test automation, data acquisition systems, and advanced instrumentation
