Air Compressor Service Manager - Greenville, SC

Location: Greenville, SC (200 mile radius)

Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 + Overtime + Benefits

This role involves serving as a Service Manager within our Service Department, dedicated to meeting the compressed air requirements of our valued customers. The Service Manager holds the responsibility of proficiently leading a team of service technicians and internal service staff to ensure prompt and efficient service delivery. In addition to overseeing recruitment and development initiatives, this position encompasses managing service technicians, coordinators, and parts procurement to consistently achieve outstanding results in customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Boost revenue by promptly addressing customer inquiries, evaluating service needs, and determining the optimal service programs and personnel to fulfill customer requirements.
  • Implement effective selling techniques to successfully promote service solutions and showcase parts capabilities to customers.
  • Efficiently coordinate the scheduling of service personnel to ensure optimal productivity and customer satisfaction.
  • Foster employee development by overseeing recruitment, product training, and continuous training initiatives within the service team. Regularly coach, counsel, and manage the performance of all service-related personnel to exceed customer expectations.
  • Supervise Service Inventory locations and rental fleets, monitoring repair statuses, locations, and related details.
  • Manage cash flow by ensuring timely generation and distribution of invoices upon service completion. Swiftly resolve disputes to uphold customer satisfaction while effectively managing overall costs. Monitor and manage the expense budgets and resources of the service team.
  • Drive complete utilization and enhance efficiency within the service team.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards within the service team. Oversee and manage shop maintenance, fostering safe work habits at both the shop and customer sites.
  • Minimize "call backs" by providing the appropriate technician and correct parts in a timely manner.
  • Efficiently handle Warranty Claims and optimize warranty recovery processes.

Qualifications:

  • A High School Diploma or its equivalent, along with 3-5 years of experience in a related field, is necessary. While a degree in Engineering, Technical, Marketing, or Business is preferred, it is not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and adeptness with various devices such as smartphones, iPads, and laptops are essential.
  • High business acumen and self-motivation are key attributes for success in this role.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills are required.
  • Previous experience in managing an hourly workforce, including remote employees, is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with mechanical and electrical systems is preferred.
  • Prior responsibility for Profit and Loss (P&L) is a valuable asset.
