We are seeking a Senior/Lead Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our highly skilled and driven team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in enabling the adoption of Public Cloud utilization and will perform operations and development in a complex environment at scale. This position offers the opportunity to develop and utilize deep technical skills while contributing to the design and implementation of our Public Cloud platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as an SME on Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud platform, staying updated with the latest cloud services, features, and capabilities, and evaluating their applicability to business needs.
  • Automation: Help the team automate processes related to cloud operations, security configuration, account management, and cost optimization.
  • Promotion and Collaboration: Promote the Public Cloud offering internally to stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and business units to understand requirements, prioritize initiatives, and align cloud strategies with business objectives.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior architects, engineers, and developers, fostering a culture of innovation, learning, and continuous improvement.

Must-Have Skills:

  • AWS Expertise: Deep knowledge of AWS, including a comprehensive understanding of platform services, features, and best practices.
  • Cloud Solutions: Ability to build scalable, resilient, and cost-effective cloud platform solutions based on business requirements and industry best practices, adhering to security and compliance standards.
  • Cloud Foundations Constructs: Experience with Cloud Foundations constructs for Enterprises, such as AWS Control Tower and Cloud Adoption Framework.
  • Containerization: Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
  • Infrastructure Automation: Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform and AWS CloudFormation to provision and manage cloud resources programmatically.
  • CI/CD: Use of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery practices; experience with CI/CD pipelines at scale.
  • Programming Languages: Comfortable with Go (and Python) for building serverless integrations and APIs.
  • Software Development: Fluent with best practices for software development and a passion for automation.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, with well-spoken and written English.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Other Cloud Platforms: Knowledge of other cloud platforms such as GCP and Azure.
  • Strategic Translation: Ability to translate strategic plans into technical deliverables, including operational readiness and stability.
  • FinOps: Experience with Cloud Economics, Cost Optimization, and Cost Visualization.
  • Security and Networking: Practical experience with security and networking in cloud environments.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or a related role.
  • Certifications: AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
