Medior Java Developer (Amsterdam, Netherlands)

We are looking for a passionate, creative, and dedicated Medior Java Developer who is willing to go the extra mile to create some of the best experiences for our client who thrive on teamwork and collaboration. Your primary focus is back-end development in conjunction with the team, who can adapt and create some of the best experiences for our clients internationally.

We’re not looking for someone who is going to be a number, as this role is about you making a difference in the team, being part of a diverse team, and as much as we work hard, we also encourage our team to come together outside the office and let loose, whether it’s enjoying a good beer together, teambuilding events, and being able to have a bit of banter in and out of the office whilst creating magic for our customers, is key to the success of the team.

If you have a never give up attitude, and experience within the media and entertainment industry, then this role is designed for you as we do require as much flexibility as we can to ensure that we rapidly grow our customer base on a global scale.

Key Performance Areas:

· Share ownership of our backend development, from requirements and design, implementation, testing, and launch.

· Build reliable internal tools, and APIs used daily by a specialized team focusing on maintenance, usability, and code quality, to contribute to making the platform more robust over time.

· Share ownership across projects, ensuring that teamwork is carried out, as you will be working with cross functional teams, to help shape how and what we are building.

· You will work closely with experienced backend developers, giving you the opportunity to be artistic, and to learn whilst developing curation tools for the creative team.

Requirements

3 to 5 years of experience with Java Spring boot and backend development.

Hybrid working – we need you 3 days in office (Tuesday – Thursday)

Skilled within containerized environments such as Docker, Kubernetes

Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL, Postgres, Mongo.

Infrastructure like Kafka, Redis, Elasticsearch.

Microservice based architecture hosted in google cloud

Fully automated CI/CD pipelines.

Version control using Git.

JavaScript ecosystems (TypeScript, React) is a plus.
