Cyber Security & Strategy Lead

Position: Cyber Security & Strategy Lead

Location: Amsterdam

Type: Permanent

For one of our clients in Amsterdam, we are looking for a Cyber Security & Strategy Lead.

The Cyber Security & Strategy Lead is going to work for the business unit Security Strategy and Data as an expert on security strategy development and maintenance. In this role, you will be responsible for the strategy, and you are covering a broad number of subjects such as external stakeholders, threat mitigation strategy, and technology direction for security tooling.

Key Responsibilities

The Cyber Security & Strategy Lead is a subject matter expert, and our client is looking for someone with broad experience in different cybersecurity-related topics & strategies:

• A Master's degree or degree in which strategy development is covered;
• 10+ years of experience in security and strategy roles;
• Solid track record and experience in larger companies and corporate consulting are required;
• Can demonstrate success in establishing relationships and influencing decision-making ;
• Identification of strategic areas that need to be covered in the security strategy;
• Excellent communications skills with both internal and external stakeholders;
• Identification of requirements for the security strategy from policies and standards, national and international data laws and regulations;
• Driving the formulation and approval of the security strategy on specific security strategy topics which are linked to the defined security strategy, also from a technical perspective;
• Maintaining relations with the country and business leaders, as well as the internal stakeholders, to ensure alignment and acceptance of the security strategy;
• Subject matter expert in strategy development;
• Excellent knowledge of cyber security-related topics and a broad range of expertise;
• Solid understanding of IT, including new developments such as cloud;
• Experience in a financial environment is a plus;
