For one of the leading European online e-commerce platforms we are looking for a Java Tech Lead. As a Java Tech Lead you have the capability to come up with efficient technical solutions and to lead a team of engineers to help them follow best practices, coach less experienced team members and drive them in the right direction.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the project team with strong technical guidance, focusing on Java and AWS solutions
  • Hands-on development using Java and scale pipelines efficiently in the AWS environment
  • Manage version control systems, ensuring a collaborative development process using platforms like Github or Gitlab.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, aligning technical solutions with project goals.
  • Offer strategic insights and recommendations for successful project delivery.

Requirements

  • Very strong knowledge of Java (springboot) & AWS (minimum ECS, S3, RDS, KMS).
  • Kafka (event driven technologies)
  • IaC: some experience with any of the available tools but CDK is preferred
  • CI/CD and SDL processes including quality
  • Proficient in version control systems, such as Github or Gitlab
  • You need to live in the Netherlands.

Offer

  • Start asap.
  • 6 months with possible extension.
  • 2 days per week on site
  • 32-40 hours per week.
