Job Summary:
The Maintenance Supervisor will lead a team of skilled technicians and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure the reliability and efficiency of cement plant equipment. This role requires a hands-on leader with a deep understanding of cement manufacturing processes, equipment, and best practices in maintenance and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, and supervise all maintenance activities, including preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
- Oversee the repair, inspection, and servicing of cement plant equipment, such as kilns, conveyors, crushers, mills, and bagging systems.
- Monitor equipment performance to identify potential issues and implement proactive solutions to minimize downtime.
- Develop and enforce maintenance procedures and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Coordinate with operations and engineering teams to prioritize maintenance tasks and minimize production disruptions.
- Manage spare parts inventory, tools, and equipment to support maintenance activities.
- Train and mentor maintenance staff to enhance technical skills and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Conduct root cause analyses for equipment failures and implement corrective measures.
- Prepare and manage maintenance budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring cost efficiency.
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including reports, logs, and work orders.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in mechanical engineering, industrial maintenance, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cement plant machinery and equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment.
- Proficiency in using maintenance management software (CMMS) and diagnostic tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry best practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance challenges.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including exposure to heat, dust, and noise.
- Capable of climbing ladders, working at heights, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
