Product Assurance Engineer – Space Opto-Mechanical Systems

Sarcedo (Vicenza), Italy | Full-Time | Hybrid Working

We’re currently supporting a leading European space technology manufacturer in their search for a Product Assurance Engineer to join their growing Quality & PA team.

This company designs and builds advanced optical and opto-mechanical systems for some of the most exciting programs in space, laser communications, and defense. As part of their team, you’ll work on high-reliability hardware built for missions beyond Earth-and help ensure everything meets the toughest quality and performance standards.

What’s the role?

As Product Assurance Engineer, you’ll report to the Quality Lead and work across engineering and project teams to take ownership of PA activities for multiple programs. You’ll also be the go-to contact for PA-related matters-internally, with suppliers, and with customers.

Expect to be involved in a range of project-critical areas, including:

  • Owning and implementing PA plans across programs

  • Leading PA reviews (FMECA, NRBs, TRRs, TRBs, MRRs, PDRs, CDRs)

  • Managing and reporting on Critical Items (CIL), NCRs, RFDs/RFWs, and qualification status

  • Supporting cleanroom best practices, contamination control, and PA audits

  • Collaborating closely with engineering teams and sub-contractors on all QA/PA topics

  • Ensuring processes and products comply with ECSS standards and customer requirements

What you’ll bring:

  • University degree in a technical/engineering discipline

  • 3-5 years of experience in Product Assurance or Quality roles within the space sector

  • Solid understanding of ECSS standards and how they apply to hardware PA

  • A structured, pragmatic approach to problem-solving

  • Experience working in technical, multi-cultural teams

  • Strong English communication skills

⭐ Bonus points if you also have:

  • Previous experience working with or managing sub-contractors

  • Hands-on knowledge of space opto-mechanical systems

Location & Benefits:

  • Location: Sarcedo, Vicenza (Italy)

  • Working style: Hybrid (per internal company policy)

  • Contract: Permanent, full-time

This is a great opportunity to join a high-performing engineering team in a company with real momentum in the space and defense sectors. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring their hardware makes it to orbit-and stays there.

If you’ve got experience with space PA and want to work on advanced systems with real impact, we’d love to hear from you.
