Commissioning Technician / Controls Commissioning Engineer
Location: South Carolina
Contract: Initial 8 Weeks commissioning in one location with Long-Term Project
Start: Mid-April 2026
Expenses: Travel and lodging full covered
We are supporting a data centre systems integrator delivering BAS, BMS, SCADA and controls systems across hyperscale data centre projects.
They are looking for Commissioning Technicians / Commissioning Engineers to support field commissioning on a data centre project in South Carolina.
The role will begin with an initial 8-week project starting in April, with the opportunity to continue onto multiple projects across the US throughout 2026.
Responsibilities
- Execute commissioning test scripts for controls and automation systems
- Perform I/O checks, wiring validation and panel testing
- Verify sensors and field devices
- Identify and document issues during commissioning
- Work with project managers, commissioning agents and contractors on site
Required Experience
- Field commissioning or controls technician experience
- Experience with low voltage control systems (24VDC – 120VAC)
- Comfortable working with control panels and I/O validation
- Ability to follow structured commissioning procedures
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation and safety awareness
Technical Environment
Exposure to the following is beneficial but not essential:
- Ignition SCADA
- Allen-Bradley / Rockwell PLCs
- Modbus TCP
- Power distribution, cooling systems, or leak detection systems
