Marine Superintendent (Tankers)
Location: Athens, Greece or Hamburg, Germany
Reports To: Technical/Line Manager
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Marine Superintendent with a strong tanker
background to manage and oversee the operation, maintenance, and compliance of our
tanker fleet. This role requires a senior professional capable of ensuring operational
excellence while supporting fleet expansion.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee operations of Panamax, Suezmax, and other large tankers.
* Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations and company
standards.
* Manage technical and operational performance of assigned vessels.
* Liaise with ship management teams, owners, and external contractors.
* Support fleet expansion initiatives and ensure smooth onboarding of new
vessels.
* Participate in negotiations and commercial discussions related to vessel
operations.
* Provide guidance and mentorship to junior officers and crew.
Candidate Requirements
* Proven experience as a Marine Superintendent with large tanker vessels.
* Strong knowledge of tanker operations and regulatory compliance.
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
* English language proficiency required.
* Seniority preferred, but not overly experienced to hinder adaptability.
* Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
* Home office flexibility: 2 days per week.
