The client is seeking a Senior OpenUI5 Developer to support the design, development, and optimisation of enterprise-grade web applications built on SAP OpenUI5. The role will focus on delivering scalable, high-performance, and user-friendly UI solutions, working closely with functional and technical teams within a complex SAP landscape.
Key skills and experience required
- 5+ years’ experience developing applications using OpenUI5 / SAPUI5
- Strong hands-on expertise in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and MVC architecture
- Proven experience integrating UI5 applications with backend services (OData, SAP Gateway, REST / Web Services)
- Solid understanding of Fiori design principles and responsive UI development
- Experience developing custom controls, components, and themes
- Performance optimisation and cross-browser compatibility experience
- Exposure to Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile delivery environments
- Ability to collaborate with business stakeholders and mentor junior developers
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- English-speaking
Nice to have
- Experience with SAP BTP / cloud-based UI5 deployments
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and UI performance tuning
