Darwin Recruitment are hiring a Power Systems Engineer on behalf of a Finnish aerospace company specializing in the development of software-defined satellites designed for autonomous operation and inter-satellite networking. Founded in 2019 and headquartered in Helsinki, with additional offices in London and Argentina, this company aims to transform traditional satellite systems into flexible, reconfigurable platforms that support efficient and secure data flow across space networks. Their satellites are built on a software-first architecture, enabling in-orbit reconfiguration to accommodate various payloads and mission requirements. This approach allows for enhanced adaptability and cost-efficiency, reducing time-to-orbit and supporting a range of applications from Earth observation to secure communications.
You will be responsible for all aspects of power systems engineering for a new project, including designing the solution for the system, analysis, integration, and testing; making sure the satellite is ready to make and distribute the power needed for the mission. In addition, you will support on other projects across the company.
