Software Tester Positions – Switzerland – 12 Month Contract
General Conditions:
- All-Inclusive Hourly Rate: Around CHF 100/110 per hour
- Start Date: ASAP / February
- Duration: 12 Months
- Home Office: Around 2/3 days per week
- Languages required: German B2/C1, English B2/C1
- Onsite Location: Chur, Switzerland
Position 1: Software Developer in Test / Test Automation Engineer
Overview
This role is closer to software development with strong testing expertise. The tester will work on an internal greenfield project that is currently in development and not yet on the market. The first prototype will be presented at an exhibition in February, with a full product launch planned for end of the year.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated tests for a new internal product
- Contribute to software development activities
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps)
- Work with Linux-based operational systems and containerized environments
- Support prototype preparation and product launch milestones
Technical Skills
- Strong development background (Python)
- Playwright
- CI/CD pipeline creation (Azure DevOps)
- Linux and containers (e.g. Docker)
Work Setup
- Approx. 40% home office
- Contract length: 12 months (initial)
Position 2: Test Engineer (Hybrid Manual & Automation)
(“Man-in-the-Middle” Role)
Overview
This role sits between an existing manual tester and an automation tester. The ideal candidate has a software development background combined with hands-on manual testing, and enough automation experience to support and extend existing automated tests.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual testing activities
- Support and contribute to automated test development
- Act as a bridge between manual and automation testing
- Collaborate closely with developers and testers
Technical Skills
- Python (mandatory)
- C# (nice to have)
- Experience supporting or writing automated tests
- Strong manual testing background
