HVAC Service Manager

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Service Manager to lead and grow our service department. This role oversees daily service operations, supports field technicians, manages customer relationships, and ensures high-quality, profitable service delivery across commercial and industrial HVAC systems.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands HVAC service from the field up and can balance technical expertise with people and business management.
Key Responsibilities

Lead, schedule, and support a team of HVAC service technicians

Oversee service calls, preventive maintenance, emergency response, and contract work

Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with codes and company standards

Act as the primary escalation point for customers and resolve service issues

Manage service department performance, labor utilization, and job profitability

Support sales of service agreements, repairs, and system upgrades
-
Train, mentor, and develop technicians to improve performance and retention

Review work orders, documentation, and reporting for accuracy and completion
Qualifications

5+ years of commercial HVAC service experience

Previous experience as a Service Manager, Service Supervisor, or Lead Technician

Strong technical knowledge of commercial HVAC systems (RTUs, chillers, boilers, controls, etc.)

Proven ability to manage teams, schedules, and customer expectations

Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Experience with service agreements and recurring maintenance programs

Familiarity with dispatching software and service KPIs

HVAC certifications, EPA Universal, or manufacturer training
