Company Overview
We are an early-stage robotics company focused on developing low-cost, autonomous robotic swarms for complex and dynamic environments. Our mission is to deliver scalable, intelligent systems that can be rapidly deployed to meet critical operational needs. We build robust robotics solutions using commercially available hardware, an autonomous software stack, and advanced multi-agent coordination strategies. Our work supports a range of applications, including national security, disaster response, and infrastructure monitoring.
Our first product line consists of unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) capable of operating individually or in coordinated groups. These systems are designed to be expendable, mobile, and intelligent – enabling advanced behaviors and mission capabilities through swarm coordination. These UGVs are being developed to address critical field challenges, including those faced by defense and public safety organizations.
The founding team brings deep experience in autonomous systems across ground and aerial platforms, with prior leadership roles in government agencies, research labs, and major tech companies.
Position: SLAM Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) Engineer to join our team. This position is instrumental in building the mapping and localization infrastructure that enables our ground-based autonomous systems to operate in GPS-denied and degraded environments. You will play a key role in designing and deploying SLAM capabilities both for individual robotic agents and across coordinated multi-agent systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement real-time SLAM algorithms for use in autonomous robotic systems.
- Fuse data from various sensors (e.g., LiDAR, cameras, IMUs) to achieve robust and accurate localization and mapping.
- Design and maintain processing pipelines optimized for real-time performance in embedded environments.
- Ensure fault tolerance and graceful degradation in adverse or unpredictable conditions.
- Optimize computational efficiency of the SLAM stack to meet resource-constrained hardware requirements.
- Contribute to a fast-paced, collaborative R&D environment with rapid iteration cycles.
Minimum Qualifications
- Proven experience developing and deploying SLAM systems in real-world robotics applications.
- Proficiency with sensor fusion techniques and integration.
- Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
- Experience designing real-time localization systems with emphasis on performance and reliability.
- Familiarity with ROS2 and its application in distributed robotics.
- Eligible to work on export-controlled projects.
- Motivated to work on high-impact systems in a mission-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with autonomous ground vehicles or multi-agent robotic systems.
- Background in dense 3D mapping or advanced SLAM techniques.
- Experience with CI/CD workflows in robotic software development.
