Service Technician – Industrial Boilers & Combustion Systems
We are seeking a qualified Service Technician to join our team. This role supports a wide range of power plant, heating, and mechanical contracting projects, working with industrial equipment such as packaged boilers, industrial burners, heat exchangers, and complete boiler plant systems across multiple applications.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Inspect boiler plant and combustion equipment to identify and diagnose operational issues

Perform repairs, including replacing gaskets, controls, and miscellaneous parts
-
Conduct annual maintenance inspections on boilers and burners
-
Troubleshoot and repair burners (all manufacturers)

Install new low-emissions burners

Retrofit boiler control systems, including PLC, microprocessor, and instrumentation components
-
Commission, troubleshoot, and adjust combustion on a variety of boilers and burners
-
Document parts required for repair or replacement and provide detailed written service reports

Request materials needed to complete assigned tasks in accordance with company guidelines and budgets

Travel to multiple job sites and transport tools and materials (company vehicle provided)

Submit electronic paperwork and service documentation daily

Deliver professional, customer-focused service at all times
Requirements & Qualifications
-
Completion of OSHA safety training and ability to pass a 10-panel drug screen
-
3+ years of experience in boiler installation, service, and maintenance
-
Ability to LOTO, drain, fill, operate, troubleshoot, inspect, and test hot water and steam boilers (preferred)

Strong electrical and mechanical experience, ideally in an industrial environment

Working knowledge of:

Belt replacement

Electrical schematics and troubleshooting

Strong verbal and written communication skills, including writing routine service reports

Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals

Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs

Comfortable working in non-climate-controlled environments

Proficient with technology and software, including Microsoft Office

Valid Driver’s License with an insurable driving record (no major infractions)

Must consistently demonstrate excellent customer service skills
