About the Role
We are looking for a highly organised, technically skilled, and contract-savvy professional to join our Project Implementation team. As a Project Manager – Project Implementation BESS & PV, you will oversee the procurement of hardware and general contractor services, managing our in-house developed PV (photovoltaic) and BESS (battery energy storage system) projects from construction readiness to on-time commissioning and handover. You ensure projects run smoothly and are delivered on schedule, actively contributing to sustainable energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess construction readiness of projects based on key contracts and permits from project development (pre-Due Diligence)
- Tender, negotiate, and contract general contractors (internal or external) for the planning and construction of PV/BESS plants, and, if required, power lines and high-voltage substations
- Independently manage general contractors and external stakeholders, e.g., grid operators, authorities, and technical consultants
- Act as the interface with other departments, including Project Development, Project Finance, Controlling, Engineering, Energy Trading, Ongoing Asset Management, Banking, and external investors
- Monitor construction progress and manage project budgets
- Support Due Diligence and investor processes
Your Profile
- Degree in Renewable Energy, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in project development, procurement, sales, or implementation of PV ground-mounted systems, battery storage, power lines, or wind projects in Germany
- Solid technical knowledge in battery storage, photovoltaic systems, and/or grid connections is desirable
- Fluent in English and business fluent in German
- Structured, independent, and solution-oriented work style
- Strong team, communication, and negotiation skills
- Willingness to travel (approximately once per month within Germany, depending on project execution)
