Rotor Blade Technician

Seeking a skilled and experienced Rotor Blade Technician to join the dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing wind turbine rotor blades to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough inspections of wind turbine rotor blades using visual and technical methods.
• Perform maintenance and repair tasks on rotor blades, including leading edge protection application, blade cleaning, and lightning protection system checks.
• Identify and report defects, damage, or potential issues affecting rotor blade performance.
• Utilize specialized tools and equipment for rotor blade maintenance and repair tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to execute maintenance schedules and minimize turbine downtime.
• Conduct root cause analysis of blade failures and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including inspection reports and maintenance logs.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in wind turbine rotor blade maintenance and repair is highly preferred.
• Strong technical aptitude with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Experience with leading edge protection application and lightning protection systems is a plus.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Willingness to travel to different project sites as required.
